Lady Bombers Win Their Season Opener
The 2023-24 basketball season kicked off for the BMHS Lady Bombers with a home game against the Cairo Lady Pilots on November 30. Not only was it the opening game of the season, it was the opening game of the head coaching career of new Lady Bomber head coach Barry Phillips.
The Lady Bombers had a balanced attack with four players scoring in double figures, and seven players involved in the scoring. Neveah Yates and Kate O'Neill led the way with 11 points. Amyah Smith and Jayden Cox each added 10. Johnna Riggs contributed 9, Gracie Beere 3, and Leah Holman 2 in the 56-29 win.
