Buchanan & Romaine Sign With Brescia
Hayden Buchanan & Shane Romaine signed letters of intent on July 16 to play baseball at Brescia University in Owensboro, KY. The two are surrounded by their coaches and teammates at the signing ceremony.
McDaniel Is New BMHS Boys Basketball Coach
Bowling Green native, former Brescia University player, former player and assistant coach at Hargrave Military Academy, and former assistant at Friends University, Zach McDaniel is the new boys basketball coach at BMHS.
Third Time Not the Charm as Bombers Fall 3-2
After defeating Graves Co in both regular season games just one week earlier, the Bombers rallied from a 2-0 to tie the first round game of the district tournament in the 6th inning, before falling 3-2 to the Eagles.
Lady Bombers Lose 11-inning Heartbreaker
After splitting the two regular season matches, the Lady Bombers and Mayfield were tied 2-2 at the end of 7 innings in the first round of districts. In the bottom of the 11th inning and two outs, the Lardy Cards scored the winning run to end BMHS's season
Tennis Season Ends in Regional Tourney
Senior Jake Miller's tennis career at BMHS ended on May 16 at the First Region Tournament held at Lone Oak. He fell 3-6, 0-6 to the eventual runner-up, Paducah Tilghman's Whitt McNeil.
Bombers Sweep Season Series over Eagles
Keaton Overstreet crosses the plate after his grand slam home run that was part of a 13-3 win over the Graves County Eagles. The win created a 3-way tie for the regular season number one seed in the district.
Alexander Named Head Softball Coach
After guiding the Lady Bombers to a 10-12 record as the interim head coach in the 2022 season, Scott Alexander has been named the head coach for the program. He will continue as the head coach for the middle school softball program as well.
Tennis Regular Season Ends
Senior Jake Miller prepares to deliver the winning serve in his 8-1 singles win at Graves County on May 9. This was the last regular season match for the team before regional competition begins on May 17.
Track Team to Compete in Area 1 Championships
The BMHS track team will compete in the Area 1 Championships at Marshall County High School on Saturday, May 7.
Lady Bombers Win District Opener 4-2
In their first district contest of the 2022 season on April 25, the Lady Bombers defeated Mayfield 4-2.
Bombers Come Up Short in District Match-up
Despite trailing 6-1 to the Mayfield Cardinals on May 5, the Bombers came back to take a a 9-8 lead into the 7th inning, before giving up two-out hit that plated two and the final 10-9 loss. Hunter Collins here hits his 2-run homer in the 4th inning.
King Named BMHS Volleyball Coach
Elizabeth King, a 2015 BMHS graduate and former All-State player as a Lady Bomber has been named the new head volleyball coach. (See related story)
Track Team Closes Season at Regionals
Matthew Clayborn leads his heat in the 200 meter sprint at the Class A Regionals on May 21. The girls team finished 4th overall, and the boys team finished 7th.
Lady Bombers Grab 6-2 Win over St Mary
The Lady Bombers improved their record to 10-8 on the season with a 6-2 victory over St Mary on May 5.
Lady Bombers Drop District Contest
The Lady Bombers fell to 1-1 in district play, falling to Graves County in a contest played at home on April 29. They made the game interesting in the final inning, stranding the bases loaded in the 5-0 defeat.
Bombers Pick Up 7th Win
The Bombers picked up their 7th win of the season on February 8 with a 75-71 win over Cairo. (See related story.)
Bombers and Lady Bombers Fall in District Play
The Bombers and Lady Bombers hosted the Graves County Eagles in district play on February 1. The Bombers were at full strength and battled the Eagles, eventually falling 63-50. The Lady Bombers fell 69-19.

Five senior BMHS players were honored before the CFS game on April 1. Left to right, the 2022 seniors are Dustin Howle, Baron Collins, Shane Romaine, Hayden Buchanan, and Carson Buchanan.

Bombers Pick Up District Win over GC
In a marathon affair that lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes, the Bombers utilized five pitchers and combined small ball, hard contact, and capitalized on Eagle miscues to grab a 14-12 win over Graves County on their field on May 9.
Winter Senior Athletes Honored
Seniors Kinsey Cox, Zeke Elrod, Dylan Frost, Illyssa Holdman, and Emily Bolton were honored on Senior Night on February 11.
Lady Bombers Fall in All A Quarterfinals
After going 3-0 in pool play and with a 2-0 win over Bishop Brossart in the quarterfinals, the Lady Bombers fell in straight sets in the semi-finals to the eventual state champion St. Henry.
Solomon Named Region 1 Coach of the Year
BMHS head volleyball coach Adam Solomon was recognized by his peers as the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Region 1 Coach of the Year at the KHSAA state tournament on November 6. His Lady Bombers finished the season with a 32-6 record.
Myers Named Region 1 POY and 2nd Team All-State
BMHS senior Izzy Myers was recognized by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association as the Region 1 Player of the Year and as a member of the 2nd Team All-State team at the KHSAA state tourney on November 6.
Lady Bombers Grab Win over CCA
BMHS Lady Bombers outscored the Lady Warriors 36-11 in the second half to claim the 52-30 win over CCA on January 25.
Region 1 All "A" Champs!
The Lady Bombers volleyball team won the All "A" regional title for the second consecutive year on September 11 in a two-set victory over CFS.
